Healthy Banana Split Bark recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, mashed with a fork
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter (look for one with just almonds – no oils, sugars, or fillers)
  • A handful of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1–2 teaspoons melted dark chocolate chips (dairy-free if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon crushed pecans (or any nuts/seeds you love)

Directions

  1. Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and spoon it onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
  2. Mash a banana over the melted chocolate — this is your ice cream naturally sweet and creamy.
  3. Freeze mashed banana- until the banana is frozen.
  4. Spoon almond butter over the top. It’ll spread easily over frozen banana.
  5. Add the strawberries — the juicier, the better.  Slice the berries and arrange them over the almond butter.
  6. Drizzle t additional melted chocolate over everything. You can use a spoon or fork.
  7. Sprinkle with crushed pecans for that perfect crunch.
  8. Top with finishing salt- this enhances the flavor of the chocolate.
