Imagine the warm, comforting aroma of freshly baked garlic bread wafting through your home, enticing everyone to the kitchen. Now, picture that same inviting fragrance encapsulated in a light, crispy waffle. Yes, it’s possible, and yes, it's as delicious as it sounds. 



Every bite offers a burst of savory goodness, reminding you of your favorite Italian bistro, but with a fun, crunchy twist.


What do you eat Garlic Waffles with?

Eggtastic Waffle Sandwich- Garlic Waffle topped with mashed avocado, fried egg, and sausage patty. Yum!

Your Favorite Pasta Dish- Serve Garlic Waffles on the side of your favorite pasta dish instead of garlic bread.

Chicken Waffle Sandwich- Scoop your favorite chicken salad, a piece of lettuce, and tomato onto your garlic waffle for a gourmet sandwich.

The Solo Waffle- Garlic Waffle solo is a delicious treat in itself.


Open Face Hot Roast Beef- Toast garlic waffle top with hot roast beef, veggies, and gluten-free gravy.

Garlic Waffles take just minutes to make a satisfying sandwich that is soft, crunchy, stays together, and tastes so good!


Savory Garlic & Onion Gluten-Free Waffle Recipe

Ingredients 

Directions
1.  Bring sourdough discard to room temperature 
2.  Pre-heat waffle iron.
3.  Melt dairy-free butter and let cool slightly, you don't want to cook your egg in the bowl.
4. In a mixing bowl combine sourdough discard, oat milk, egg, and dairy-free butter, and whisk well.
5. Add gluten-free flour, baking powder, and spices to the wet ingredients and whisk to incorporate.  Don't over whisk.
6. Pour batter onto the waffle iron with a measuring cup.  Cook until the waffle is easy to remove.  (I don't use cooking spray or additional oils on my waffle iron).

  • Recipe tested with Bob's Red Mill Egg Replacer worked beautifully!
