Nutty & Gluten-Free Maple granola
Finally a delicious and nutritious granola the entire family will love!  Even the pickiest eater in my house kept coming back for more of this granola!  I love to skip the refined sugars and dive into wholesome and nutritious ingredients. So easy to make!  

Add it to your favorite dairy-free yogurt, ice cream, or fresh fruit.  Serve it hot or cold as a satisfying breakfast.  Put some in a bag and take it on a hike.  


Why make your granola?
Take control of what goes into your granola by making your own using high-quality ingredients. Here are just a few:

1. Nutritional Control: Full control over the ingredients and customize it to meet your nutritional needs. You can choose to incorporate a variety of nuts, seeds, and dried fruits, ensuring a balanced blend of vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats.  Salt and sugar can be controlled when you make your own.

2. All-Natural Ingredients: Avoid artificial preservatives, colors, and flavors commonly found in store-bought options. Instead, you can use organic, gluten-free, and natural ingredients. 

3. Personalized Flavor: Experiment with different flavor combinations and create a unique blend that suits your taste buds.  Young Living's selection of healthy oils Cinnamon Bark, and Nutmeg, add a burst of natural flavor without any artificial additives or added sugars.

4. Cost-Efficient: Save money by purchasing quality ingredients in bulk instead of expensive pre-packaged granola.

5. Freshness and Storage: Homemade granola tastes fresher and can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature to enjoy for weeks. Keep fresh healthy snacks and breakfast options on hand.


Ingredients:

  • Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 275' 
  • Add gluten-free oats, nuts, coconut flakes, salt, and ground flax on a parchment-lined baking pan or a Silpat-lined baking sheet pan.  
  • Warm coconut oil 45 seconds in the microwave, add maple syrup. 
  • Then add the Cinnamon and Nutmeg Vitality Oils into maple syrup, stir to combine and pour over ingredients on the baking sheet.  
  • Be sure to mix well, you want that delicious goodness in every bite!
  • Bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Let cool on baking sheet
  • Add your favorite unsweetened dried fruit if desired.
  • Store in mason jar.

Notes from the cook:
  • Pour gluten-free oat milk or your favorite milk over the granola for a quick breakfast cereal.
  • Sprinkle granola over fresh fruit for a delicious snack.
  • On cold mornings serve with hot milk and enjoy it as a hearty oatmeal.
  • Take it along on a hike for a healthy and delicious snack that satisfies!
  • Substitute honey for the maple syrup if you want to change it up.
  • 2 tsp of ground cinnamon can substitute the cinnamon vitality
