Easy Homemade Oat crackers

  • Oat Pulp- use that leftover pulp from making oat milk as the base for your crackers
  • Oat Flour- you don't need to buy expensive oat flour, make it quickly with just one ingredient. see how I do make it here
  • Honey- skip the refined sugars and go for local honey to bring a bit of sweetness to the cracker
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning- you won't need to worry about extra additives or quality of ingredients when you make your  Everything Bagel Seasoning
  • Avocado Oil- has a high smoke point

How to make this recipe

1.  Mix everything except for the Everything Bagel Seasoning in a bowl.
2. Next Sandwich your cracker dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll out a very thin layer with a rolling pin.  
3. Place parchment with cracker dough on a baking sheet and gently remove the top piece of parchment paper.
4. Sprinkle with Everything Bagel Seasoning and bake

Ingredients
Directions
1. Pre-heat oven to 450*
2. In a mixing bowl add oat pulp, honey, and avocado oil. Stir to incorporate.
3. Then add oat flour, oregano, everything bagel seasoning and salt.  Mix until combined.
4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place half of the dough in the middle of the paper.  Reserve the other half of the dough for the next baking sheet.
5. Lay another sheet of parchment paper over the cracker dough.  Using a rolling pin roll the dough very thin. Clean-up will be a cinch with this method. Gently pull back the parchment on the top and dispose of it.
6. Bake for 4 minutes and remove from oven.
7. Using a pizza cutter or spatula cut the rolled dough in half, to make flipping the crackers easier.
8. Now cut the crackers in the shape you like and then bake another 5 minutes. Let sit on a baking sheet for a few minutes.  Then return to the oven for another 2 minutes. Be sure to watch them you don't want them to burn.  Let them cool on the baking sheet to get more crisp.
9. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

  • Recipe makes 2 large sheet pans of crackers
